Helen Keller’s 39 Clues Book Club meets every Tuesday in the school’s library.  We meet to discuss the books, solve mysteries hidden in the books, and visit the 39 Clues web sites to complete missions.  Over Winter Break, students were given the challenge to keep reading and to visit this web site.  Each day a new question will be posted.  Students will need to e-mail me, Miss Gramley,  with the correct answer to win a 39 Clues card.  Cards will be awarded to the students during our 1st meeting back on January 5, 2010.

The first couple of questions will come from the first book, Maze of Bones, which everyone has read by now.  I’ll let you know when I change the book....or will I???  :)

Question:  Amy and Dan realized that “Resolution” was an anagram for this element.  Name the element.

  Mushman8 emailed: “The second one was easy it was an angram for iron soultue”

     Mushman8 has cracked the code for those of you who could use a clue.  Each letter is not the right letter, but the letter after it is.

     Rainman has also cracked the code!  Way to go guys!!  Don’t tell anyone though...

No one has answered Tuesday’s question correctly, so there’s no new question for today.  I think it would help if I mentioned that I am currently in Book 2 for all questions.  A different answer awaits you all.

Saturday 12/26.

    Two questions since I took Christmas off.  :)  Name the city where the Janus stronghold is in and name three famous people that belong to the Janus family.

    Rainman’s Answer: The Janus stronghold is in Venice, Italy.  Three famous Janus family members are Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Pablo Picasso, and Franz Schubert.

Monday 12/28.

   Obviously I’m a little behind on this but I have no answers for the other questions.  So it’s time to get tough.  A 2nd clue lies either on the title page or the cover of One False Note.  Can you tell me what it means?
